A color box is a numeric control or indicator that displays a color that corresponds to a specified value. For example, you can use color boxes to indicate different conditions, such as out-of-range values. The color value is expressed as a hexadecimal number with the form RRGGBB.

Brown kraft and white are the most common shipping box colors because they are the two most naturally occurring colors of corrugated board. Choosing any other color for a shipping box requires printing the color onto the corrugated board. Typically, this process involves printing the color onto mottled white cardboard.

The Color box at the right of the window displays the currently selected foreground and background colors. The top color is the foreground (for drawing with left-click) and the bottom color is the background (for drawing with right-click with most tools).

In food packaging, red has always been universally accepted. Green is used for healthy and natural foods whereas yellow is used for high energy serotonin-inducing products. Orange is associated with healthy and filling foods such as oats whereas blue is used for fun foods, such as cakes or crackers.
